Which of your shotguns would you choose if you needed to legally shoot down a small drone?

45-70 mph is most clay targets! I know people that shoot perfect or almost perfect scores in sporting clays on courses with targets from 40 -90 yards. No doubt 110 mph increases the challenge but it’s very doable by skilled gunners. Like you said, most won’t come close. I do know a few more than capable. Andrew Wycoski, Ortenzi brothers and Gerry Gagnon would bankrupt a billionaire flying drones.
Drones are way bigger than a clay.

A drone will come straight at you, making it a very easy target. The videos of drone attacks coming out of UKR do not show drones moving at high speed. Most close the distance to the target at relatively low speed.

Interesting. I wonder if something like a kevlar braid on top of shot would make a 12 gauge more versatile against something with 4 or more propellers on it? He's using some sort of net, but firing a handful of string in it's flight path would likely have the same result?
String would not carry far enough from the muzzle to intercept the drone early enough. Explosive drones need to be intercepted at least 20-30 yds out.

If a drone is buzzing your duck blind, that could be interpreted as hunter harassment....So, your first step would be to contact wildlife authorities. Before taking matters into your own hands. Especially on publicly-owned shooting sites. On private land, the same holds true.

What about drones flying over duck blinds trying to interfere with a legal hunt?

Uncle Jimbo has the right answer.

They would be fair game. Over water the evidence is hard to find. I have just learned Tungsten is best to shoot them. Thanks geo.
I wonder what steel T shot does to drones. I use it the most when hunting geese. I will check the pattern board before proceeding.

Thanks it was 53lzzy744 who recommended tungsten. I was just riding his coattails......

They sure are spendy though.

What do you think would be the response if this was a conversation about shooting down aircraft? Legally this is the same thing. 🤷‍♂️
Are you retarded or just plain stupid?

If a drone comes on to my acreage and starts snooping around, it will disappear, it's very simple.

One could where a mask or hoodie and no one would ever be able to identify the person.

Reading this thread and listening to you defend drones like they are your God is pathetic to say the least.

Maybe take up a different hobby and try to become a guest on the View! Lot's of WOKE left supporting b!tches for you to talk about drones with.

You sound like a left-wing Liberal supporter and lover.

After 20 plus years in law enforcement, I have never seen someone as obsessed about protecting drones as you.

What gives?.......:(
