No it cant,but the clovers are not worth $1500.00....like i said i have owned one.They are very well made rifles thats for sure.

Running side by side, the AR has the ability to be as accurate or better for less outright cost.
If you feed them quality ammo, they should both be reliable.
The Sig can and does run on ammo of 'questionable quality' though, a trait I've experienced recently first hand -impressive.:rockOn:

I would consider a Tavor if the price was a little more reasonable.

If I'm not mistaken, it looks like the majority of us seem to think it is already perfectly "reasonable"... Look up :D

I'm sure CanAm would also disagree with you.
 
Price IS reasonable. I don't know what some people, claiming it is not, are basing their opinion on. Are you saying it's not reasonable, because you can't afford it? Then Porsche Cayenne Turbo is unresonably priced. I have worked in business of importing goods, and I know that is more or less what I would price Tavor. Believe me, it's no walk in the park to import things, much less firearm. Expenses adds up.

I wouldn't claim a product or service is not worth a certain dollar value based on my inability to afford it.

I don't think the Sigs are worth $3k new and yet I have one (didn't pay $3K).
I think they are a fantastic rifle, just overpriced.

I have never fired a Tavor, but I have handled one. (Big effen Deal -I agree)
my initial impression is they are not worth that kind of cash. As always there are worse things to spend your money on, so ymmv.

The Porsche Cayenne IS over priced, and yes I've driven one.:)

I actually voted for the Tavor:D

Undoubtedly CanAm would disagree they are priced high. Time and sales numbers will tell....
 
Look, all I'm saying is that sometimes, the economy of importation produces numbers we aren't ready to accept. But what can we do? CanAm would have to take his margin to keep his end of business going, and, yes, we can look at the certain products and say it's not worth this or that, and I whole heartedly agree with you. But it is priced in $3000, and that's probably more to do with the work involved in bringing the Tavor, rather than the actual value associated.
I have my gripe, but if and when I have the money, I would buy it without hesitation. Unless there's a possiblity of haggling the price...
 
For the same money, the Sig wins hands down................;)

Out of the box it is extremely accurate, and is VERY well made.The iron sights are goood and optics are easily attached.

I am not a Bullpup style fan, and think all Bullpup rifles look FUGLY!!!!:evil:

The value is based on the cost from IWI, plus a very modest markup. Believe me if it was all about the money, I'd just be selling ammo to the militaries, and cut you cheap ass civie winers out all together! ;)

It's amazing we have anyone who'll do the "gun business thing" in Canada, let's see; "can I interest you in a business where your financial future will be at the whim of politics, your supply will never equal demand, your customers will ask for something and when you've busted your *ss to get it they'll want it in a different calibre/size/colour, and when you figure your profit margin is so low you'll be eating KD for the next 3 months your customer will either imply or say straight out that your ripping them off " oh, and by the way you won't have the "social safety net" to rely on.
If this sounds like fun to anyone, then the gun business is for you. To all of you that still do this, Thank You.
 
In order for me would be SA than Tavor but as soon as the rail version is available for the Tavor I'm jumping in. Also your up north all the time, the SA is proven to perform well in the cold and snow.

I'm not sure the Tavor has been "proven" yet. Its mil tested but so is the SA. The Tavor will still likely to have some bugs worked out (but not enough to keep me from buying one;) ) but the SIG (including the 552) have the bugs worked out.

Since Israel is in a constant state of conflict no doubt a few have been real "field" tested but I'm sure if you add up the French/British mil and 100's of police units around the world (including Iraq;) ) the SA's has likely been "proven" more often.:)
