Which Ruger in 4.2 would you choose?

I did some editing and came up with a 4.2" version of the LCR and SP101. Which one would you rather see Ruger produce?

LCR

SP101 and LCR with 4.2"GP100 for reference

I'd say the SP101. Looks a little more natural with the longer barrel. But I'd also like to add that I would buy it in a heart beat if it was chambered for .22lr. Or even better .22lr/wmr. Six shot is acceptable, but the more the better. Would love to see Ruger compete with S&W's 617 or model 17 *sigh* dreaming I know, but they're good dreams

GP100. i see no point in changing the others to basically be what the GP100 already is.

but i'd also happily take a Redhawk 44mag in the same (or similar) length

They already make the Redhawk in a 4.2 inch barrel they just sell pretty fast!

I'd rathe have a GP100 or Redhawk with a 4.2" barrel. I almost bought a Redhawk but opted for the Super Redhawk in .454 instead.

From what I understand the Bearcat in 22LR is already available in 4.2" I've had one on order since Jan 2010 I think it would be an awesome handgun for my 3 year old to start learning to shoot with Cowboy action anyone...

As to the OP I like both but would go with the LCR would just need to install a set of Crimson Trace grips and your good to go..

But the real question would be would I go with either of these Ruger's over a 5 shot 5" S&W model 60 in 357mag?

I think that SP101 with the 4.2 in barrel looks beautiful! Nice editing. I'd go for that.

I'd like the 4" GP I've had since they first came to Canada, not to be evil. Don't particularly want the Hogue grips though.

I doubt they will introduce a 4.2" LCR. I believe the frame/shroud is investment cast.

Likely, the only way they would do it is by extending the barrel sleeve only. Try that in photoshop.

I would go with a Ruger Redhawk 4.2" chambered in 45LC.

x2! That 4.2 Redhawk is revolver perfection in my opinion ... next to a Vaquaro in .45LC.

If I didn't already have 2 s/s 5.5" Ruger Bisley Vaquero's in 45 Colt and a 4.25" Ruger Super Redhawk in 454 Casull that I also shoot 45 Colt in I would snap up a 4.2" s/s Redhawk in 45 Colt in a heart beat.

The SP-101 with a 4.2 inch barrel would be a wonderful tool. I've thought of one often for the past decade.

If I didn't have a S&W model 60-18 (5" barrel.), I'd want the SP101 4.2"
