Which Ruger in 4.2 would you choose?

I did some editing and came up with a 4.2" version of the LCR and SP101. Which one would you rather see Ruger produce?

SP101

I'd say the SP101. Looks a little more natural with the longer barrel. But I'd also like to add that I would buy it in a heart beat if it was chambered for .22lr. Or even better .22lr/wmr. Six shot is acceptable, but the more the better. Would love to see Ruger compete with S&W's 617 or model 17 :D *sigh* dreaming I know, but they're good dreams

GP100. i see no point in changing the others to basically be what the GP100 already is.

but i'd also happily take a Redhawk 44mag in the same (or similar) length

From what I understand the Bearcat in 22LR is already available in 4.2" I've had one on order since Jan 2010 I think it would be an awesome handgun for my 3 year old to start learning to shoot with Cowboy action anyone... :D

As to the OP I like both but would go with the LCR would just need to install a set of Crimson Trace grips and your good to go..

But the real question would be would I go with either of these Ruger's over a 5 shot 5" S&W model 60 in 357mag?

I'd like the 4" GP I've had since they first came to Canada, not to be evil. Don't particularly want the Hogue grips though.
"...my 3 year old..." Don't be daft. Mind you, my boss' son at the gun shop I worked in long ago had no trouble shooting a Charter Arms Bulldog(19 oz., 3" .44 Special) at 7. Sitting at 100 yards, so I was told. The kid was one of my Army Cadets later. Good kid with a brain.

You obviously haven't a clue... :p

I doubt they will introduce a 4.2" LCR. I believe the frame/shroud is investment cast.

Likely, the only way they would do it is by extending the barrel sleeve only. Try that in photoshop.

If I didn't already have 2 s/s 5.5" Ruger Bisley Vaquero's in 45 Colt and a 4.25" Ruger Super Redhawk in 454 Casull that I also shoot 45 Colt in I would snap up a 4.2" s/s Redhawk in 45 Colt in a heart beat.
