So I am getting a new scope for my 308.
My current setup ran out of elevation at about 700yrds. A 30 min sloped base is not an option for my rifle. Even a custom is problematic. So I have found a 10MOA base and I am trying to chose between the following two scopes:
1. Leupold MK4 4.5-14x 50 with a TMR reticle
2. Leupold MK4 6.5-20x 50 with a TMR reticle
There is only a $45 price difference betweent the two. The plan is to shoot this rig out to 1000yrds. My dilemma is that the 4-15 has 5 more minutes of elevation then the 6-20. So is it worth having a little more magnification and losing a small amount of elevation or is elevation more useful than the higher magnification.
Thanks for your input
