To the OP.

And what time does the little yellow school bus pick you up in the morning?

I really hope you do not draw pictures of your urges to kill squirrels and chipmunk's and show it to your teacher or special ed assistant. That is an indication that your medication is off.

Big Bad knows all about your kind of medication. It is called Lithium.

So OP, what other kind of killing urges do you have?

I believe the authorities are already monitoring you. You picked a very bad place to post your sick messages.

Squirrel hunting is not a thing in most of Canada only because we are spoiled with a variety of rabbits & hares.

However, it's a thing in Ontario because thier squirrel species are bigger, much like most of America.
It doesn't do anyone any good to disparage him-her merely because of the target species.
Hunting to me means consuming your harvest. Absolutely nothing wrong with this as long as one keeps within legal boundaries.

You work for Disney now bluelynx?

Op's original post asked "Which shotgun would be great for hunting squirrel and chipmunk?" - the thread somehow wandered off about the merits of hunting squirrels - he also was asking about "hunting" chipmunks!!!

Well, I think many of the answers/post are tongue in the cheek, as it doesn't seem like the OP even bothered to look-up the squirrel/chipmunk hunting requirement.

So, to get back to the squirrel-firearm theme... Steven's also made proper squirrel rifle

One each of:

1) SxS in 12g, 16g, 20g and 28g.
2) O/U in 12g, 16g, 20g and 28g.
3) Semi in 12g and 20g.

That would be a good start. From there you could build on your lineup. :d

For new hunter with limited storage space for firearms, a combination gun can be a good option.
- Have yet to find one marked for squirrels, but someone can surely adapt... I'm sure there is a acorn engraved on that firearm, and since squirrel tend to like acorn, that ought to be acceptable.

If you're wanting something more traditional, C-Sharp makes a nice Squirrel-rifle

i would like to know what hunting rifle used for killing butterflies. 30.06 or should i go bigger.
Maybe something rapid fire. Belt fed. They are hard to track

I'm not familiar with butterfly hunting regulations in Canada.
- Best I can do on such short notice is to depend on the expertise of Peter Hofer

Well for one, the monarch butterfly has gone on the threatened species list. They're not edible anyway- they feed on milkweed, which induces vomiting.
