Which way do you screw off a AR flash hider? I have a Vortex clone that won't budge at all.

Counter-Clockwise to loosen if you are looking at the muzzle.

You may need to heave on it quite a bit. ... and it may be locktited.

Not true, the ones we get are not subject to AWB restrictions, I doubt anyone would try bringing in AR's with factory pinned/welded FH's.

Heat can help...Dump a few mags through it quickly and then twist that sucker off. Works for me. The last one I had wouldn't come off for love nor money when it was cold... Expect to get some strange looks at the range when you do it though.

IIRC the current Armalites have pins, but easy to take out from what I am told.

Actually, P&D was selling some new bushmasters with pinned flash hiders. It blew my mind.

to get export permits approved, the gun must be in "ban" configuration. no telestocks, bayo lug, threaded barrels and must be "sporting" guns.
