Which would you choose? Ruger PC Carbine, JR Carbine, Beretta CX4, Kel Tec Sub 2000?

Which NR pistol carbine to choose?

I've said it before, but my CX4 with a Vortex Sparc II mounted shoots consistent lasers out to 100y. Groups are very impressive. It feeds everything and probably the best 9mm in terms of ergonomics, accuracy and reliability IMO. My friends don't even bring their 9mm PCC's out with me anymore as my CX4 puts everything to shame.

I like variety in PCC's so I might consider the PC9 in a wood stock, but not in its current configuration. In saying that I used to think the CX4 spacegun was fugly as well, but it definitely grew on me and is now on the never-sell list.

The CX4 has several attributes that make it superior to many other PCCs. Once people use them it’s like a lightbulb turning on inside their head. But they are a bit more expensive than some of the other offerings, which is a factor to some.

Maybe I misread your post, but it seemed that you were being dismissive of all the other choices.

You definitely misread. I even said I’d consider a PC9 if it came in wood. I own two of the choices being considered. I love all PCC’s.. just some more then others. My best experience in this space is with the CX4 hands down.

Had a Gen1 Keltec sub2k, blew it up, never replaced it because i dont trust plastic receivers anymore....having said that, keltec warranty was awesome and hassle free...a definite plus, and the gun blew out the side and magwell, so the engineering was on target...but it broke the folding hinge.

Replaced it with a JR, nice soft recoil, accurate....but was a total POS to take down and clean, small screws etc.. and the wiggle in the magwell, was very annoying, couldn't slap mag into magwell (in the manual, they specifically said not to do this) couldn't insert a full mag on a closed bolt...very annoying ......and no last round bolt hold open....hated that
Dumped the JR, never would buy one again...

Got the Ruger PC Carbine, took a bit to get over the ugliness, set it up for me......absolutely LOVE it, very high quality, very solid, no rattles, last round hold open, drop free mags that dont rattle in the magwell, and slap the mags home and it functions well...and is modeled off the tried and tested 10/22 design....and super easy takedown.
Also its only a matter of time, probably sooner than later when aftermarket stocks will be available from boyd's (for awesome wood/laminate stock choices), hogue overmoulded rubber...love to get one in ghillie green...and of course magpul will make a backpacker x22 version for the PC, which would be awesome..
There is talk of ruger very soon coming out with conversion kits also..

The PC Carbine is my choice.....hands down

The PC Carbine arrived... for a plinking toy this PC Carbine is a solidly made rifle... you are getting alot for your money. I'm going to try this Leupold VX-3 2.5-8X36 in QD rings on it for a bit, but may put a Vortex Venom dot on it for compactness... and need to find a takedown case, might aswell take advantage of that feature.

Yer gonna have fun with that unit. I'd like to see how it shoots with 147 gr loads.
