white tail hunting in Sask.

If the winter we are having so far holds up it will be good for deer. With five or six good winters the numbers will rebound quite a bit. In optimum conditions deer populations can increase 30 percent a year. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Well, the camera shows action , not heavy everyday but some bucks starting to sniff, I will load picture later.

The nephew took the first one that showed up this morning around 9:30 , first animal so wanted to get that over with , was a young doe.

Sry, the upload seems to have lost some of the resolution.

You have to wonder who is advising our current government on our big game seasons in Sask.Although I have seen adequate deer numbers in our area the whole province is complaining about the lack of deer.So they shorten the season up for a week for resident hunting yet still allow non residents to hunt,Im not sure shortening the season to two weeks will help much but non resident hunting should be the first thing to go until the numbers have recovered.

SGI I'm thinking.
