who as moded is 597 VTR ??? NOW WITH PICS !!!! TIPS & TRICKS

I like the carry handle, its quite convenient too when moving from spot to spot while hunting.

I have a rail on the way that mounts on the carry handle so I can mount a scope or red dot properly.

just a crappy pic with my cell phone. flip up front sight has to be opened up a mm or two to fit the target barrel. also the quad rail came with a nut that was threaded in metric so i need to get one made that will fit the body of the vtr.

Wild optics how well do they work?
 
i moved the red dot to the quad rail to get a little more height. still need a slightly higher ring to meet up with the magnifier. the 5x magnifier was hard to find.. most are 3x, but i wanted a little stronger magnification.

if remington didnt throw that abortion of a top rail on the reciever and made a proper full length rail i would put the red dot back a bit further. now i just need rear buis.
 
yes I finaly did the volquarsten hammer and extractor mod !!!!!!!!!

What a difference !!! Now i can go threw 30 rdn's witout a single fail to eject and i dont know if it,s the hammer but not one fail to fire with 6 brands of ammo !!!!!!!!!

I'm so happy !!!!:ar15::D:D:D:D:D:D

my only regret is that i sould of done it month s ago !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it is now as reliable as my 1022.....

Hi I just bought the new 597 VTR that came already with the collapsable stock and the piccatiny rail. Pretty cool toy.
