S&W SD9 VE with 4.25" barrel. $350 at P&D

I'm wondering who bought the SD9, what you think about the trigger and if you know the price/availability for extra mags??? I held one at the local store with a trigger lock on it, the size and ergonomics seem to be perfect. I couldn't dry fire it to check out the reportedly, horrible trigger. Was for sale @ $369 and was told that they only had a couple left. Just wondering what CGN'rs think about it or the competing Ruger 9E.

Here's Hickok45's review on the SD9VE. Was seriously thinking about the Ruger 9E (SR9E) but it's more money and it comes with only 1 magazine.

Damn, that is almost the same price they are here. They have an awful trigger but apex makes and kit and other than that they are a solid gun.

How much is the Apex trigger kit? Many people say the S&W is a better deal but the Ruger 9E has a very good trigger, stock.

Just bought one from Reliable, they had them on the big sale, $315. $376 taxes in delivered! Can we order the trigger spring kit from the U.S. I think we should be able to!

Hey thats the first pic I have seen of the right barrel and it doesn't look bad at all! I just emailed apex to see if they will sell to Canadians!

Got mine in the mail today , not a fan of the trigger. Size is nice and fit & finish are better than I expected , but undecided if she's a keeper or not . A trigger upgrade will be a must it I do add her to the stable

really not good IMO , but I have had M&P's as well and didn't like them out of the box , but keeping in mind this is a $300 pistol * Norinco price range * --- your getting allot and a good name behind it with the SD9VE .
If the Smith & Wesson line is true to form - the trigger should get far better after some use ( assuming it stays :) )

So the trigger is that bad...

I heard this uses S&W Sigma magazines, so there is that.

Where do you get them? The Sigma magazine doesn't list the SD9, but looks identical. I hate buying a pistol then can't find additional mags for them. $41.82 US on S&W's online store.

Literally thousands of these are flooding the Canadian market and already are very popular in the U.S. So someone will come up with a cheaper mag that is readily available! I am loving the apparent slow down in firearms purchasing in the U.S. As the manufacturers seem to be dumping them into Canada at very good prices! These go for as little as $299 in the states and I got mine for about the same when you factor in the exchange!

Nice, I do like the look of it for sure, working on finding a company in the U.S. who will ship Apex kits to Canada. Amazon is crazy asking over $60 for it when they sell for $20 in the States!

Cheaper than dirt has the Apex kit for less than$17. and the mags for less than $31,, but i don't think they ship to Canada, man I need a U.S. p.o. box! The kit and a couple Mags could be shipped by usps for around $10!
