Who has the coolest SKS. Post pics.

My tuned up '53 Izhvesk is the coolest.

Stock from a '54 Tula non-refurb which bubba sold me. I found a blued bayonet and installed it. DIY cold blued carrier that screams of quality ;). An authentic Soviet surplus trouser belt turned sling loop... sweet! I also found a nice Ukrainian RPK sling with black hardware that completes the look. :cool:

This refurb was sloppy from the get-go anways. The gas tube was incredibly loose, so I shimmed it. The bolt carrier had nasty file marks so I blued it. The trigger was awful (more than usual) so I tuned it. The original laminate stock was a complete crooked P.O.S. so I put this hardwood stock on and shimmed it nice and tight. The bore was excellent so it shoots not-too-bad. Plus the gas piston is undersized so it cycles nice and smooth. I will be using this rifle as a test bed for an internal trigger stop I devised. Waiting for my parts to arrive and will be posting it later on.

"This is my SKS. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My SKS is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My SKS, without me, is useless..."

weimajack's personal SKS. Early 1954 Tula... no importation marks, early 2008 IZH import with a pin welded follower, non-refurbished, excellent condition, mint bore, with a nice dark Russian red stock...

next up is my coveted non-refurbished, unfired 1953 Izhevsk with its pretty honey-brown hardwood stock, no importation marks, mint bore... another cold dead hands gun:

True enough. I need a quality "nature photo!"

Sadly, my SKS's only see the range. My coveted hunting rifles get the better photo ops! :)

I guess this is kinda a double post, but the proper home for the pix.

Again, nice rifles and photo ops, but the pics could use some help.
Here, I did some tweaking;
