Who has the coolest SKS. Post pics.

to be honest EL34 i think midnightpossums photos were spot on great exposures. i think you bumped up a little too much resulting in a bit of overexposure into the whites. but thats just my internet opinion

anyway here's my humble sks' nothing special nothing new. just mine and i love them.

I personally thought they were really dark and dull for being outdoors. I actually didn't touch the exposure, they just look like a bright sunny day to me. Not cold and dreary.
Your center has nice detail, but the vignette causes the barrels to get lost visually. IMO

Plus, the first time you fired it you'd blow pieces of that muzzle break all over the guys to your left and right

I know the pattern of the flash hider may be throwing off my eye, but it really looks like its threaded on crooked.

Not my cup of tea. A perfectly rubust and reliable design ruined for the "cool factor". I can tell you one thing, if sh*t ever hit the fan, nobody would grab that "cool" abomination over a factory SKS, unless they were completely retar***... I mean special needs. Just my humble opinion, yours may/will vary.

May I suggest you show us some of your photography workmanship.. I sure could learn a thing or two on the subject... would love to get some honest tips.. You must have a few SKS to post. ;)

I can't compete with photo taking ability. But I have to put her in here anyway. This is my... 1953 Izhevsk, excellent condition... All the numbers are the same, but it looks like the wood on the gas tube was replaced with laminate, and the stock was likely replaced with a blank stock and re-stamped. No X's but looks replaced.

That is a '53 Izhevsk that anybody would be proud to own. The stock is recycled and has been nicely sanded/refinished at arsenal. The Ukrainian refurbs are typically much nicer than the Russian refurbs. She's a keeper.

It's not the coolest looking. But my Chicom shoots very well. Hitting the gongs at 200m almost 95% of the time...it makes me smile!
