Who has the coolest SKS. Post pics.

Any reason to post a pic.

I really like this one- I am thinking that there is a sound reason for having your SKS match your riding mower, but I'm probably thinking too hard about it. I reckon roving bands of wolves make mowing the lawn hazardous, hence the add-on SKS. OR, this picture was actually taken in Helmand province, in which case.....

does your m59/66 come with 2 sets of serial numbers ? ( the last one i got from a dealer had all of the original stamped numbers and then a new set of electropencil'd numbers ( it looks like the barrel was replaced in arsenal) and how is it pinned to 5 rounds ? im asking beause i got it recently..

The only place it has 2 serials which are identical are under the gas tube, one printed and one electropenciled. As for the Mag, on the bottom of the mag(From the inside) it has an L shaped metal glued/soldered to prevent the mag arm loading more than 5 rds.

mine is a metal cylinder shaped piece that looks like its been riveted through the bottom of the mag :( , and the entire gun has all of the original numbers and a whole set of electropencil'd numbers ( except for the barrel which is only electro pencil) the barrel has a different color then the rest of the receiver which makes me think it was replaced in the factory :|, so much for buying a "new unfired ,unissued" yugo sks. im not gonna return it since they dont have any more and im gonna shoot it so at least i have a new barrel :p

The pins are flared on either end, that's why they're ground flush with the handguard ferrule. Find center and center punch, drill it out with a 3/32" bit then it will easily drift out. I use a short piece of 3/32 welding rod staked in place as a replacement once the handguard has been swapped.

This is my first gun custom job, so I'm pretty happy with this little project. Took it out for it's first post-transplant burn yesterday, worked flawlessly. The Tapco mags don't feed the first round perfectly smoothly, but I'm still pretty happy with them. Hopefully they will loosen up a bit with use.

You'll notice the wood on the gas tube... I bent two punches trying to get the pin out, gotta figure something else out.

BAFH works fine.
15 seconds max.
I know :)

I really like the timbersmith stock as well. I would like a new SKS with the silver bolt, a timbersmith stock, a steel mag, brass, lead and dies :). I wouldnt want to throw any corrosive ammo threw that girl!
