Is this him again? Alot of knowledge pretainign to this subject for such a newbie.
Depending on what ?
FWIW, the RCMP has always maintained that if a simple bolt swap can make a gun go full-auto, then it is not acceptable. Conversion to full-auto has to require tools and modifications to the firearm, else it meets the "easily converted" criteria for prohibition.
To refresh people's memory, the reason ******** was in trouble in the first place is he used the SAS-3 Sten MkIIS FRT number to register open-bolt guns with extended sear catches. This proved unacceptable by the RCMP lab and prompted a bunch of legal woes for ******** and all the other more law abiding SAS-3 owners who then had their guns placed in FRT limbo. It's also what got him banned from this site if I recall.
is it still posible to find parts kit to have a home built one?
Certainly it is,
Hey look whos back. So did you really threaten GT with a libel suit?

Oh, and since you are reading this ******** - it was tiriaq, stencollector and myself who did all the heavy lifting to make a semi-sten possible in Canada only to have YOU screw it up for us and have all our builds since your fiasco impounded by the RCMP for indefinite "study".
I don;t think I need my memory refreshed about how much of my property is STILL at the RCMP lab thanks to you. Bill Etter even referred to your products when apologizing as to why my stuff got impounded - so please, POUND SAND.
Yeah right ! Cry me a river![]()
Bill Etter LOL![]()
I can build new SAS-3 Stens if I want to, but I have to make the kits from scratch as the SAS-3 bolt assembly is out of production now, but any other design is being "impounded for lab study" before an FRT is approved. They aren't telling anyone not to build them, but my last couple stens have been "at the lab for evaluation" for over 3 years as of last week.
I'm told that they are simply sitting on them refusing to make any determination because last time they approved a Sten FRT, you came along and started registering guns that did not match the FRT specification. You might not be doing that anymore - I have no idea, but we all know you did it at one time and we all know that's why the lab is being obstructive to everyone else now. It's also why the MP3008 Marstar was selling was re-evaluated into a prohib.
So thanks.
Certainly I did it , and do you know why ?
