Who in Canada sells Roll pin punches

What am I missing? What is the difference between a pin punch and a roll punch? I've always used pin punches to knock out both dowel pins and roll pins...

Went to Aclands too.No dice:(
I guess i will order from Brownells and wait a couple of weeks before i assemble my lower.

I guess the fact I wasn't aware of a roll pin specific design of punch has kept me from being dissatisfied with ordinary pin punches. How much better can the other kind work?

If a regular pin punch won't do it for you and you need one with a tit on it, look up "transfer punches". Any metalworking supplier should sell them as a set. Try travers, ttc, or busybeetools.

Got mine from KMS. Don't know if there is one in your area. They are really well equipped for any kind of tools. They do have a catalog and they do mail order.

Punches are generally only used for disassembly, unless the pins need to be driven below the surface. If you are assembling, use a nylon or brass rod, or even just a nylon hammer.

It's a tool store that sells everything from lathes to dremel tools. Neat store if you are into tools. It is like Acklands I guess. Haven't checked but I am fairly certain they are online. I would check kms.com or something like that. Google lit.
