Who is a lefty and shoots a RH bolt?

Buy a left-handed gun and save yourself a great deal of grief. There is always a cant in the stock and in right handed guns the palm-swell is designed to accomodate righties not lefties. Fit and comfort are major factors in accuracy. Buy a left handed gun to start with. A used left is better than a new right.

im left handed shot right bolts no problem but one thing to consider is the "case rupter'' vent in the gun you are using never had a problem but hot gass in the eye could ruin a guys day.Buy a lefty bolt...

I would definitely try cycling the action a few times to see if it works for you. I work my right hand bolts with my right hand, keeping my left on the grip. On my bubba'd 95 mauser or Ruger m77, its as natural as breathing to me now, and I can throw that bolt just as fast as most righties can. However, I have trouble with a Mosin, a #4 Lee Enfield, or an m38/m96 swede. These guns are too front heavy and the grip is too large for me to be able to work the action reliably without dropping the muzzle significantly.

I'm still holding out for a LH bolt someday, but I'm happy that I've learned to shoot the "backwards" ones that I have.

I'm right handed but left eye dominant and shoot left handed. For years I used a right handed bolt but after trying a left handed bolt that is all I will buy unless the gun I want is not avaiable in LH. It is just about impossible to cycle a right handed bolt with your right hand in any competion where you use a sling or even from the prone position. Then you have to crossover. Do yourself a favour and buy a left handed bolt

I have the same affliction as Neilm, right handed, left eye dominant. I shoot bow and rifle left handed; handgun, hockey, Golf, eat and write right handed.

Please lefties.... Unite and buy only left handed rifles, this improves selection for all other let handed shooters, as the more we buy, the more they make.

The population is slowly becoming more and more left handed believe it or not, and one News letter I read from "The lefty connection social club" said that by the year 2070 85% of the population will be left handed. That sounds a bit crazy to me, and they also stated that roughly 40% of the population is left handed now, but the many are not identified yet as they are under 5 years old, the age at which most children are discovering which hand they are.

Again sounds crazy, but apparently they are studying this stuff so who am I to argue.

Savage makes a good selection of Left handed rifle that are affordable, and just happen to be one of the best out of the box available at any price.
