I’ve had them in 12 and 28g, excellent guns and the fit and finish on the examples I had was better than the similar priced B gunsIm looking at the Rizzzini BR110 30” barrel in 28ga. Itll be for sporting clays and Partridge.
Any thoughts on the Rizzini BR110s
In the past I had one of these guns.Nice working firearm. The Browning version of the Winchester Model 12.
I've had 7 of them. 3-20 ga Grade V's, 2 standard grade 20's, a 28 Grade V and a standard grade 28...never fired any of them. LolIn the past I had one of these guns.Nice working firearm.
The one I had, was a Grade 1 28 gauge.I've had 7 of them. 3-20 ga Grade V's, 2 standard grade 20's, a 28 Grade V and a standard grade 28...never fired any of them. Lol
Yes ,the 28 gauge is a great upland gauge indeed. In the past, I had a 28 gauge Ruger Red Label as well.I have two 28 gauges. A Ruger red label with a straight English stock and recently I picked up a Stevens 555. Best upland gauge in my humble opinion.

No cannot say I have any idea of the date of the article. Just happened to come across it.Thanks for the link, and idea the date on that Arctile ?
Like you ,I prefer lighter 28 gauge guns for field use.I have used heavier guns, but usually use them only for shorter hunts.I am in NB - so we hunt grouse and woodcock. I have Brittany spaniels for dogs. I don’t like big heavy guns,, just so tiring to lug around
I sold them all.The one I had, was a Grade 1 28 gauge.
Do you still have your guns or did you part with them over time?
Sounds like a nice gun.The only thing bad about it is ,it is not 28 gauge.I have a Rizzini Artemis light 20g for a week now and it has been everything I had hoped for ,and I'm not just saying that because I want to justify its cost. The balance is perfect finishing is truly exceptional ,shot 3 rounds of trap ,gun down and was very pleased with how it came up and pointed as well for a light gun with trap loads recoil was less ,than I expected. Last day of pheasants yesterday packed it for 10k and not an issue ,that was the best part. Missing the last pheasant of the year was my fault but I could tell a lot of why's but just plain missed. We will see after a couple hundred more rounds at the skeet field ,chokes are in route now ,Thank you Santa![]()
Doesn't sound like you're in a game rich area?!Well out for a short partridge/rabbit hunt before dark.About an hour hunt. Was able to bag a rabbit with the 28 gauge Franchi 48AL.First one I have bagged since 2021 and only the third rabbit I have seen in the woods in the same period of time.
…and I bought them all, but just need ‘one more’…famous last words. lolI sold them all.
Rabbits have been down here for a number of years now.At some point they will rebound. What I call rabbits ,are really snowshoe hare. They do go in a cycle.Doesn't sound like you're in a game rich area?!
