Who really got their worth of the season this year.

Didn't do as much chicken hunting as I like to do but I shot a cow moose and filled both mine and my wife's Whitetail muzzleloader and rifle tags with 4 bucks.
Still have 2 antlerless tags open until Dec.18.
I have had worse seasons, that's for sure! :)

Most of us have a hard time walking those ridges with horseshoes protuding from our rectums; but obviously you never had that problem this fall!:D

I had a pretty good season this year.

Got drawn for Grizzly and took a grizzly.

Got drawn for moose and took a moose.

Got an elk on my annual elk hunt.

Got Whitetail buck on my whitetail hunt.

Freezers are full. Could have taken numerous mulies but I was holding out for a monster. Could have shot a couple of dozen blackies but again I was holding out for a monster.

Got 2 grouse while bear hunting. 2 deer the second day at the deer camp. Hopefully something else to add to the list before the season is over.

Skill Buddy, Skill.

All kidding aside it was just my year.
I seem to remember you having some pretty damn good years out there yourself.
I almost felt guilty as everyone else seemed to be having a hard go of it, almost.
Wish Dana had done better though.
Work hasn't allowed for her to get out much since the first week.

I had a good fall for birds with my three setters and have a new young pup pointing wild birds. Now I am looking for a bull moose.I haven't been having much luck with the moose but I haven't been trying real hard either. I am headed out shortly for another look. I only really stated looking Sunday past. Lots of weekends in the season left yet.

I wasn't as focused on hunting as I have been in previous years. I had too many other things on the go.
I only bought a tag a week or so ago and managed to get a big doe for the freezer yesterday, with having only gone in the woods for a couple of evenings.
So I guess it was a good season, though short.
Now I have meat for my other favorite hobby, sausage making.

45 days afield and a 52 inch bull moose, 150 inch Mule Deer, and 145 inch white-tail to show for them in addition to a number of smaller critters including two wolves. Passed on so many nice deer I can't recall them all... ok, so I can recall them all... saw bull elk sparing, a white-tail buck breed a doe, a number of beautiful sunrises and sunsets, double rainbows, and the largest flock of Canada Geese in a wheat field that I have ever seen... and nobody ever got around to shoot that shoot for some unknown reason.

Hunted two weeks with my dad who shot a trio of nice eating 2.5 year old moose, muley, and white-tail... might be our last hunt together but I sure hope not...

Probably the best hunting season of my life so far (the 27th by my count) and here's me taking a sip of Scotch hoping to top it off every year to come in whatever life I have left to live.

Cenovus didn't feel I needed to go hunting this year. My new Cooper and I will just have to wait for next year. Glad to see the good haul so many have had, nice work all!

Great deer season for me!

I got my first bear on the opening day of deer season and got a nice buck 2 days before deer deason ended so I feel I got my money's worth. I never got any birds though I had lots of chances and now it's on for coyotes!

Truthfully, I wouldn't care what It cost. There is no place I would rather be than in the woods with a firearm in hand on a cool fall morning. That is heaven to me.

After a very rough and dry 2010 season, I was blessed with a great 2011. First, I was able to enjoy a great "walk-out" with my main hunting partner, as we each landed Stone's rams on an archery hunt. Then, I was able to help my father (who suffered a near fatal heart attack in April and had essentially written himself off) land a beauty of a Dall's sheep, as well as nailing a Dall of my own. Everything else was gravy and I consider myself fortunate. If 2012 ends up being nothing more than camping trips and sight-seeing, I'll be okay with that.

I did allright, had 2 draws but only filled the bull moose tag. took me all season to find that bugger. Not my plan, I wanted to get the moose in the first 10 day hunt and then switch to hunting deer. Got my moose on the last sunday of the season, and only shot one little yearling deer near my camp, (incidental target of oppertunity)

I had a reasonable season for Whitetails. There were less animals than last year, but I still bagged a few. I didn't shoot the monster I was hunting for, but I blame that on not taking the shot when I had the chance early in the season, thinking there would be better shots and better deer yet to come.

There were less partridge than previous years but we've been on a decline for several years. It will pick up again.

I got out several weeks. The weather was decent and its what I like to do. I don't feel i'm owed anything. It was good.

Skunked on Deer so far with 2 weeks left, 10 grouse, 3 rabbits and 1 opportunistic Coyote shot.

Still hoping for my first deer though.

Whats up, no Deer yet, are you telling me there are no deer out that way. Why the heck didn't you let me know that before the Wife took that new job. I took a nice doe second day of doe season, let a small 4 point MD walk thinking I could find a larger one :( and took a nice WT Buck on November 15th. Took 8 Ruffies, one rabbit and had a great time with a huge number of days in the bush with my two hunting partners..... my Two PUPS.
I would love to show you how to do it but I don;t think I can make it out that way before the end of the season, look forward to spending some time Coyote Hunting though.
Cheers
