Don't need to tell me its a barell burner you people that don't own one.
I'm just wondering if any one here on CGN has one and can tell me who built it for them and if is as good in real life as it looks on paper. How did you scope it? The sounds of a 32 grain Vmax at 4500+ fps really makes my peepee go boing boing boing...

Git yer pecker off the springs. When you are done, take a look at the 22-243 Middlestead. If a 32 gr at 4500 excites you, i can imagine what a 30 gr Berger at 4800 would do.:D
224 TTH may have the same effects.:dancingbanana:

that kind of velocity paired with that accuracy is a sweet thing to behold.

In my quest to own the entire family of 308 based cartridges, including at least one wildcat, the middlestead is on the list. I think in a savage with a 26" 9 twist barrel.

Both calibres seem pretty interesting. I have a 22-250 that I would consider rebarrelling to a 20-250 or a 22-243. I have a pile of 22-250 brass and I also shoot a 204 so it might be neat to do the 20 but the 22-243 would be more powerful and that's what it's all about. 20 would kick less though.

My Lord, what next? a 375 H&H necked down to 22 cal?

Holy crap, with a 30 gr Berger "Berger HP MEF Alliant Reloader 15 5278 fps" !!!

I have one of those. I chronied that f*cker at 8753 fps. It's not bad but i'm gonna neck down a .470 NE to .22 just to see if i can get anything better than the H&H velocitys. We'll see.

cath8r - I must be slow, because every time I see your handle I think, "why does he call himself catheter?"....duh....

Yu'all is phook'in mad..........eye say.
I can just imagine shooting out over yonder and twenty
or so seconds go by and that dang bullet sneaks up
behind you.........:D

So seeing this post is from '09 and I recently saw your 22-243 on the EE, what didn't you like about it? :D
