I sadly never made it P&D while I was in Edmonton... Also I didn't stop in Kelowna on the way back. Figures there's always lots where you didn't / can't look LOL

Was in Del Selin's in Vernon yesterday and they are now limiting you to prepacks they make of 5 boxes (250 rounds) and you can only buy ONE.

I know some people don't believe there is a shortage but these guys had OVER TWO MILLION ROUNDS about a year ago. When I asked the guys what they had a peak they said somewhere between 2 and 2.5 million. They had pallets and pallets of .22, Del is not afraid to spend money when it comes to good sellers.

Told me they have had hundreds of thousands of round on order for months and have not got a single box shipped to them. The supply is very tight and it is hit and miss where you will find it.

They did say if you think of it realistically where would you ship to, the guy in the next state which takes virtually no paperwork or Canada where you need to fill out a binder of paperwork to make it possible. I know who I would ship to! The Yanks are still buying like crazy, there is no end in sight.

OH, they did get a few cases of a expensive brand a couple of months ago, bought some, forget what it was.

My folks were at cabelas across the border last week and they too had very little selection. Came back with a few boxes of 22magnum.

Funny... Cabela's Winnipeg is drowning in ammo of pretty much all calibers right now.

They're limiting to two bulk packs per customer if you read the sign in the 22 aisle. Not much selection for 22 lr. Similarly WSS is pretty much right out of 22, but loaded with everything else under the sun.

There are some Federal bulk packs still available in the Lower Mainland at CT. Many stores got shipments in the last month for orders placed last November (at least that's what I saw in their computer when they were trying to find their stock in store).

It is being cleaned off the shelves pretty quick... so let your fingers do the walking and find it before its gone again.

This isn't looking good, wholesale sports kamloops is basically out of 22 ammo! Had a couple boxes of crap left.
Was told that the bigger gear won't be getting restocked anytime soon either. wtf is going on??

This is not new. They have had signs up in Edmonton for a couple of months (.22LR).

Ah, I see. didn't really read any signage, I was just poking around on my way back from work.

Sensible policy, though. keeps people from cleaning the shelves off and exacerbating the problem.

How much would it cost to start up an ammo plant in canada? It would create jobs and shorten the ammo shortage at the same time
Yes, one of the existing Canadian ammo suppliers need to open up and start providing all popular calibers. They would make money for sure,, if we Bought local first!!!!

On another note our local Wally world seems to be well stocked with .22, albeit Winchester dynapoint! I have all I want of that stuff, waiting for cci sv, things are slowly coming back!
