Good call. Dog food and molasses is what we have used in the past... don't think that would be classified as turkey bait

Just make sure if you are baiting for bear that it is not something that could be construed as turkey bait or a CO may ding you for hunting turkey too close to bait.

WMU 48 here. I use popcorn covered in fryer oil, with my own custom bacon and doughnut scented candles when I'm sitting. I'm shooting a Marlin 1893 in .38-55 that's been in the family for 5 generations. Didn't get one in the fall and I'm going through bear meat withdrawls
