Who's going to the BCRA Service Rifle Championships 30 May-1 June??

Open class you can run whatever within the confines of safety.
Your DD Mk12 I believe would be service class.

Yeah Tenguns I look forward to it every year. Love seeing everyone.
Those triggers are simple to put in. No different than a regular one.

According to the DCRA rules we follow there are only 2 classes
CF/RCMP class- on duty personnel shooting issued ammo through issued kit
Open class- everyone else
Service Rifle class- does not exist but should.
2kg minimum for both classes (Should be 2.5kg for Military as that is the min according to the TM).

Most of the NRA service rigs (I have one of these too) are tuned for a 4.5 lb trigger (combined first and second stage). That 2kg (4.4 lb) shaves it pretty close.
Hopefully they use electronic trigger scales rather than mechanical ones....

I know that the Swiss Classic Greens have been used in the past--they seemed to have very light triggers. Do a lot of people's rifles fail the trigger test?

The trigger weight thing is a non issue. I've never seen anyone weight a trigger other than at nationals. Super light trigger doesnt help anyways.
Wills' right there is no service class lol. I guess I was dreaming of future things there.

Not that you'll see the Sigs anytime soon at an SR match, but they mostly break around 5.5 lbs.
I think people think they are so light because they are very smooth with no creep.

Mister donut, if you want to shoot pistool, I can loan you a Glock in .40 for the day. I'm sure a rifle could be scared up if you ask around...

Yeah I'm sure someone would hotgun with you if you don't have your own!

Thanks for the support guys, but it's not the lack of equipment, just lack of skill, haha! Next year. I'll strive for next year, more practice, more cardio. I want to be able to score at least 500 at the Blair shoot and making the top 25 before thinking about going into any more competitions :)

So that was a hoot! Great weather, good turnout, and some fantastic scores. Always fun mixing it up with veteran shooters and newbies alike. One dude in my lane was firing a borrowed weapon for the first time on Saturday, and he probably wore the biggest smile o any competitor there. Everyone bring a friend next year!

Won Match one in the pistol shoot with a 99/100 for an 11th overall.....sucked ass in the rifle......only going to shoot with optics from now on in the SR comp........LE with open sights and bad eyes make for poor scores.........lol

I have a lot of respect for the rangers shooting those old rifles. The fact that you can hit anything at 500m with those shot out WW2 rifles is really incredible! Kudos to you guys!
