What's a typical setup for service rifle? What kind of optic is run (magnification) variable or fixed preferred?
And is this open to the public or ...?

Pretty much everything under the sun. Most people run ARs, but I saw Tavors, Benelli MR1, HK SL8, XCR, RFB. Lots of different optics as well. It's open to anyone, just need to buy a BCRA membership.
