Who's Muzzleloader Hunting in Ontario?

^^^ that is a great looking buck.

My buddy managed a nice doe this morning, nary a buck to be seen...

Thanks I had lot's of bucks on the trail cam at night. We saw a lot of does during rifle but didn't get an antler less tag this year. So it was just luck (and the rut) that brought this guy out.

Just got home from hunting didn't see a thing but grouse......I figured after seeing deer all week with the bow I was sure I was going to nail one with the ML but that was not the case didn't see a thing the last 2 days.

Had a great week and a great day. Killed 3 this week and a coyote. Saw a few others including letting 3 different bucks walk.

Hunted hard all week and seen a total of 12 but never fired a shot.
Was waiting for a nice 11 point I had on the trail cam but never seen him.
I was a mentor for a young guy for 3 days trying to get him his first deer, seen does and fawns but none of the 3 smaller bucks that were also on the trail cam.
Had a great week

I was out early in the week with the gang, nothing moved. Rest of the guys stayed behing, here's what they sent (cell pic) to bug me for not staying all week...

Shot at 25 yards with a Rossi muzzleloader.

Well I didn't hunt with a muzzle loader but gave it a try with a crossbow. Didn't kill anything but a few cases of beer ;)

But, I did get to shoot off a few rounds from the muzzle loader, thanks to fogducker and dumbdawg :) damn, I gotta get me one of those...I can still smell that powder 2 days later

was good to have you guys up.glad yas had fun

m/l hunting was as crappy as the rifle season......neaver seen a single deer..this is the first year ever of not even seeing a deer....
but the time in the bush spent with a few hunting friends was tons of fun..

First season with ML for me.....was able to go out only once last week.

Rifle season didn't go too well either. Had an easy shot at three does that posed broadside, ironically, my antlerless tag was for a different WMU - oh well :D

Well.... I spent 17 days in the bush chasing a big nocturnal 8 pointer. Lots of late night trail cam pics but no day sightings. On wednesday he slipped up and came out a daybreak and I put a 240 grain XTP through his heart at 30 yards. Even post rut he still pushed 186 field dressed (and looked awful thin). In a tough year like this I couldn't have been happier....
