Myself, I think I can ride out the storm. I bought supplies years ago, both loaded and components. I will NOT be affected by the recent hiccoughs in ammo availability.

How about YOU?

I may be inconvenienced by having to shoot the .22's more often, 'till reloading supplies become more plentifull.

But maybe that's not such a bad thing, the .22's have been neglected, lately.

There's a shortage?!?!?

You'd think that the American's set aside an amount of their production for Canadian orders, you would think they would still do this so keep our orders filled as well as filling their existing orders. Being that we're bilingual the boxes will have to be bilingual (Thank you Quebec) so we should have our own production run as not to confuse the Americans with French. So. I don't think our situation will get as bad as it is down south, and with our ability to get European and Chineese product, we have other options which will help keep us supplied and at similar pricing as usual.

Still tons of ammo in Winnipeg and for the same price as usual. No worries here. It has always been hard to find cheaper surplus ammo here though for some reason.

"Who's worried about the ammo situation?"

Not me. What is there to worry about. Some stuff may be in short supply now or soon but when everyone runs out of money there will be a huge surplus. Save your pennies and buy form ppl liquidating the millions of rounds they have and cant afford.

no point in worrying for me. ammo is short for now but will come back eventually. i would only be nervous if i was preparing for a zombie apocalypse.

prices prob will go up when they come back though....imo

Just ordered 1000 rounds of 7.62x25 just in case. Been keeping a little bit extra on hand but not tons. Might pick up a little extra powder and primer too.

I've been stockin up on stuff for a couple months now, every payday I pick up a few boxes of different calibers and usually a brick or 100 pack of 22. I've noticed that .22 is starting to thin out and I havent been able to find any 12 gauge buckshot in the Winchester valuepacks.

I personally have not seen a shortage but then again being in the GTA I have a lot of out of town options that have large inventories, and easy access to cross country shipping.

I can see it being worse in the small shops and for those who dont shop online

By the time my ammo supply runs out Obama won't be President.

Thanks goodness for being prepared and reloading.

I reload most of it and i have good supplies of 7.62x39 and 223 and powder and primers for muy ther stuff. Rimefire shouldn't be a problem as long as the grandsons and sons don't find the key to the ammo chest.:D

The only thing I wish I had more of on hand is varget and match bullets.
I'll be ok for a while though.
I voted "I'll be ok Aslong as it doesn't last more then a year.

Not particularly , i always buy a bit more than i shoot , usually just a box or two everytime i pick some up. I off set my factory ammo with reloading that way if my components run out i have factory ammo to fall back on . My system hasnt failed me yet , but i guess theres a first time for everything .

Worried? I'm really excited at the possibility of an ammo shortage.

Not just because I plan to flip ammo if the market goes bone dry, but because it means hordes and hordes of Americans are getting guns which personally, I think is a good thing.

Furthermore, I think it will really help a lot of shooters up in Canada develop a sense of discipline about shooting. I don't like the hardcore, military "count every round" principle that makes shooting not-fun, but I do think it's foolish and reckless to just go out and blow off a few hundred rounds willynilly for the sake of blowing off a few hundred rounds. If the price of ammo doubles, I think a lot more shooters will take shooting quite a bit more seriously than they do now and that can only be a good thing for the shooting community.

Personally, when I shoot, I like to make every round count towards a specific purpose - whether it's improving my personal skill and technique, getting my equipment in order, or testing out a new load. I prefer taking a disciplined approach to shooting, and that includes being disciplined with my ammo consumption AND production.
