Why are airsoft guns allowed on the Airgun EE??

as someone who had played Airsoft for many years and in turnement or at local fields, allot of you are very uneducated in this subject, Airsoft guns are transported to and from the field in a carrying case, just like us firearms owners would have to do anyone who doesn’t buy a Airsoft at Walmart respects the rules. Airsoft has its own mature Comunity that are very mature and considering 95% of players are over 24-40 years old, It’s a very respectful law abiding crowd. Who ever thinks bad or talks in a bad way about it is as ignorant as liberals towards our Canadian gun laws, the best opinion you can have is an educated one.

I haven't read this whole thread, but most of it. I don't disagree with anything said ^ here, except I'd be inclined TO group airsoft in with airguns...and NOT with firearms. Safety protocols~yes, deserved in all cases where things are being aimed...and stuff is flying out of barrels. I'd stop short (WELL short) of drawing comparison to firearms. I know allot of guys are into the sport huge, and while I'm not dismissive of that sort of thing...I'm not overly keen on having my son involved in it either. He's expressed an interest...but isn't overly fast on his feet. I love firearms, but the prospect of military-looking guns pelting my 3rd born with 6mm plastic BBs just is not something I'm 100% with. Maybe too many bad memories of playing paint ball in my college years...when I wasn't overly fast on my feet either. lol

I played paintball since I was 6. Used simunition which hurts. Was infantry for 11 years. What I did at work, I didn't do on the range or public. Just because what they do on a field doesn't mean they are unsafe at ranges, Or with firearms. Just the nature of the sport. Who cares if he's not fast. Why not let him enjoy it, because you don't?

Pops taught a course a months ago. A bunch of airsoft players attended it. I commented on the awesome shirts. Pops talked positive about them. They were safe and never broke any safety. So shows they can go from an environment to shooting each other, to live rounds and not point at each other.

I just got my first airsoft from my son for birthday. It was an FN C1.

My son knew I would not want a deact one so this is the next best thing. Looks real.
