You are not wrong. When I started out I told myself I was going to be a very frugal man living a simple life, owning a .22 rimfire, a 12 gauge shotgun, and an Enfield No.4 to do for all my hunting and shooting. I am sure I am not the first to think like that and I admire the self-restraint of anyone who has held to it, but there are too many nice guns and interesting guns not to try some of the variety. If that 7mm-08 isn't for keeps, it will at least have given you a better appreciation for your .30-06 and your .32 and if you don't pay over the odds you'll sell it for most of your purchase price.
