I'd be weary of Norinco, sure there 1911 have a forged frame, but how long before they switch to MIM crap parts like in their new M305s? Plenty of threads on bolts blowing up in people's faces.
My Norinco CQ-B is way more reliable than the first-gen C7 I used to carry.

Agreed. I wish people would live in China for a while before forming an opinion. I lived in China for a short period of time and it's not anything like what North American's make it out to be. I also have family who lived through the cultural revolution and the Sino Japanese war who are still alive and if you want to know the definition torture and inhumanity, all you have to do is to do some reasearch about the war and Japan's role. In the East, the Japanese were far worse than the Nazi's.
The Nazi's slaughtered 4.5 to 6 mil Jews. In the East the Japanese slaughtered 21 million Chinese. The Russians fought on both the Nazi's and Japanese and lost 28 million. Only reason why people don't have the same resentment towards the Japanese as they do the Nazi's is because even before Elnora ### put an end to the war the American's had a pland in place to rebuild Japan and make a tonne of money doing so.
Say it aint so!!!Exactly this. Politics aside, Everyone I know who has bought a M305 or Norinco 1911 has had some sort of issues. Which of course isn't limited to Chinese firearms, but good luck getting any sort of warranty with one.

Might be awhile. Norinco 1911's were being used by the Philippine Army not all that long ago. Compare a Springfield/Colt GI model with a Norinco at half the price and tell us where the added value is. I have heard of early M305's receivers being a problem but not recent versions. The one I gave to my son has never missed a beat. The only mod I did was to replace the rear sight with a GI sight from a Garand. I have seen him put five rounds inside a 6 inch circle standing at 100 yards. Not bad for what then was a $400 military rifle with iron sights.

Because dumb asses think the more money something is the better it is and makes them a man for spending lots of money.
Likely already are.
Norinco is about making money first, quality or safety has never been their strong suit. Why else would they switch to MIM bolts in the 305s? They obviously don't care about consumer safety. How do you know they are not going to pull the same crap with their 1911s? Only time will tell I guess.
That is horrible, people can be sh*ts.my staff told me today. a lot of customers call me the fxxking chinese guy . i guess this may be one of the reason ....
