Why do SA 1911's get such a mediocre response?

1911 isnt exactly cutting edge technology no matter who makes it. Its like people fighting over the best made abacus.

this is the single best post you have ever made Scarecrow!

"Alright, since you are obviously more knowledgeable on this subject than I am, please explain exactly what does Para Ordnance do in order to promote gun ownership in Canada? I'd be very interested to know."

I never claimed they did or didn't. It was you who claimed some inspired knowledge that they didn't. Knowledge that you clearly don't have. I have no knowledge on how the owners or Senior Management vote nor do I care. One of the priviledges of this great country is our freedom to vote as we choose by secret ballot. Something that sets us apart frankly from our southern neighbours and something that is worth keeping.

HKMark23 described the commercial reality in dealing with the Federal Liberals when they are in power. If you think otherwise you are naive in the extreme.

I am presently looking to buy a Sig 226, preferably the "Navy" without rails. Where do you find new SIGs for $995? Best price I have seen so far is $1,125 abd the Navy is quoted at $1,345.

Para SSp
Norinco Custom A1
Norinco Custom Commander
STI Trojan

All four are accurate and well made. Finish on the Norks are not up to the other two but all four are capable of accuracy that I cannot achieve.

Right, if you don't agree with me you are either stupid or naive. Sounds like something that a typical liberal would say. There's no point in arguing with you if that's the best you can do. And in any case, this thread has been hijacked enough.

"Right, if you don't agree with me you are either stupid or naive. "

Nope I am neither stupid or naive.

Don't disagree with you, just don't think you know what you are talking about. How would you know what Para has done or hasn't done?

Ah the Liberal slur, nice...your IQ is showing not to mention your maturity.

Apparently, you have a reading comprehension problem.

para ssp

I did all my research, for the money, the best bang for the buck is the Para SSP 5". Its cost around $950-$995. You get everthing you need in a .45 , A match grade fully supported ramped barrel, beveled mag well, PXT extractor, 3 dot combat sights, full lengh guide rod, extended thumb safty, high sweep beavertail, combat hammer, ###y two tone look with thoses nice rosewood grips. The barrel even has a chamber loded indecator. For the money its the best gun. And if you have service problems, they offer a lifetime warrenty to the orginal purcheser. also you would not have to ship across the boder to the factory, there built here in Canada.

hands down the best buy. thats what i bought and i love it. Can't get enough of that wounderfull stuff!!!!!! .45 ACP that is...............

1911's are like Honda Civics. Sure they're a nice car, sure there is a ton of aftermarket s**t that can make you look cool or go fast... But in the end your still driving a civic.

OK - then I'll put my 1911 up against your hondacivic any day. And I'll even give you a head start! :p

Our normal SIG P226 price is $999, should have some next week. Navy model isn't available to us.
