As to why this is on the milsurp forum and not general discussion...well it's milsurps that this becomes most important. Modern items can be easily valued - but try pricing out something old or rare. I think I have an above average knowledge of prices but even I have to scratch my head as to what's a fair price to pay, or a realistic price to sell, and I use the EE to search for past sales. But it seems many are in a rush to keep it hush. We can work hard or we can work smart.

Not a big deal in my opinion. Item could have been sold for more or less than the price listed. Who knows? I bet many EE deals are made that don't actually reflect the actual price listed.

I'll leave the price in my ad with a bolded SPF until the item is received by the buyer and he or she is happy. Then I'll edit the prefix for removal. I have occasionally PM'd a seller to ask what something sold for if it was something I'm looking for, or something I am debating selling. One of the reasons I leave it up for others to see.

I leave mine up - if I miss one gun at least I can tell what it sold for so I can figure out what they're selling for on the board. Some people just like to hide things to feel in control I guess there's some feeling about keeping it secret for the buyer so he can then price it as he pleases later, but that's kindof a BS answer for a number of reasons, firstly being I won't remember or bother to figure it out and finally because usually I just track down the buyer and ask him



For those that don't like being contacted after the sale, I'm a big fan of bolding SPF and putting it in the middle of the price - cuts down on people messaging.

I skew the numbers and add a couple hundred to the asking price the day I mark it PLS DELETE, that way the last couple tire kickers that get to see it before its deleted really get a slap in the face............
