I wouldn't say they are coveted, they are just cheap ugly junk that are purchased by kids who can't afford real guns.

I don't own one, nor do I want to. But I have shot a few.
None of the (5) I have shot were great. They were as accurate as throwing a slipper.
I get the whole 'cheap' surplus rounds, but really for what point is it if the holes aren't were you aim?
Am I just a 'bad' Canadian gun owner?
Plinking is fun. I don't care to plink with my AI , shooting $1 a round ammo. I shoot an SKS while my expensive rifles barrels cool down and when I just want to roll cans. Not a kid by a long shot, and thankfully not broke. SKS and cheap ammo= fun. Nothing wrong with that.I wouldn't say they are coveted, they are just cheap ugly junk that are purchased by kids who can't afford real guns.
