Rod B said:Its not restricted because the decision makers in various government offices do not think its "EVIL LOOKING".
Just joking but AR15, AK's & the stock only on the Walther G22 are restricted yet the Garrand and the M14 are not. :?: :?: :?:
Just goes to show that those who make the firearms regulations know jack s--t about guns.![]()

Hitzy said:...The only named restricted rifle is the AR15. For a rifle to fall under the restricted clasification, it has to have a barrel under 18.5 inchs and be semi auto centerfire. Rimfire rifles are exempt from the barrel length law, but must maintain 26inchs OAL.....under that they become restricted.

Actually, the new Swiss Arms "Classic Green CQB" & "Classic Green Carbine" are both classified as RESTRICTED RIFLES in addition to the AR-15 family. But as Hitzy says, I believe the AR-15 is the only rifle specifically mentioned in the legislation, others like the CQB have been shuffled into that classification after the legislation entered into force.
