Not trying to be a knob or anything, but.....
Are you anticpating a life or death situation soon?![]()
All the NATO Weapons uses the same STANAG magazines - SCAR using proprietary FN mag is nonesense!
In fact, the FN mag is made by the same contractor that makes everyone's mag.
Because P-Mag is not STANAG. It is designed for AR, and it just happens to fit into some other weapon system.
ACR... It appears that the ACR is using standard trigger, hammer and pins... the spings appear to be slightly modified but very close to standard (one is bent a bit on one side and some are slightly shortened).
We tried installing a Rock River Arms 2-stage trigger and it drops in fine but would require a small amount of "fitting" at the rear of the trigger housing in order to fit perfectly with the selector switch (we've seen that before). Not quite enough movement to allow release of the hammer... but filing the top of the rear trigger housing should correct this.

Does this mean you have an ACR in your hands? Mayhaps to sell![]()
Mark, reference the SCAR is the stock fixed? or does it fold etc?
for importation reasons, I know the stock does fold.
The ACR is a heavy pig that needs some serious trimming down in weight before it becomes a viable system.
The SCAR permit was approved back in late 2009 and they did not put any restrictions on the configuration at that time... the stocks are exactly as designed and shipped from the factory.
Mark
well I guess good news for us,
ACR uses regular AR barrels...atleast that's what I remembered.
Is the unres version going to be priority? or just regular restricted?
You keep bringing up that point. ?
Unless you have a 10.5" carbine that weighs 6lb - ish, everything mid-length with a 16" barrel is high 7s even over 8lbs.
I think 8lbs is a normal weight for a full Rifle.
Even the KAC SR16 is 7lbs 12oz.
Lots of the RRA's are over 8lbs.
Lots of 8lb Noveskes out there too
What I really am trying to say is.. It is a fine range weight or for a short jaunt in the bush![]()
