I like Benellis very much and have owned many different models. My observations as follows:
1. Way over priced for what you get, especially the Comfortech models. These are injection molded plastic and nothing special, extremely utilitarian. I much prefer their wood models as you usually get an nicer piece of walnut.
2. They do recoil more for sure, it is a sharper snap than gas guns and if you've been shooting 1100's, 11-87's and 391's your entire life you won't like a Benelli
3. I have had some QC issues, more than other brands I must say. Of the 7 different models I've owned, 3 had to go back to Stoeger for something
All in all they are my favourite autoloader, simple, clean running, light and nicely balanced but I'd never pay full price for one and never have, not to mention the fact that they've produced some dud models with well documented problems.
