Why so much .22lr ammo now?

Every shooter now has lots, and I mean lots of ammo which will take years to use up. That ammo is going to sit in the stores and sit and sit and sit . . . and hopefully it will come down to a reasonable price once again.

Or maybe even cheaper?

Stittsville Shooting Range, whose owners also run Bowmac Gunpar Inc. (Distributor) usually has a good supply and decent prices. Was in there a few weeks ago, had tons of CCI (Minimag, SV, Stingers, etc.), Federal 525 and 325 Bulks', RWS Target, Match, Club, etc. They had a bunch of Blazer come in not long ago and "poof", it was gone.

There's also That Hunting and Fishing Store in Richmond, about 15 minutes from Stittsville along with Sporting Action near Hogsback Falls. CCI and RWS last I checked.

LeBaron probably has some Winchester Super X but they are usually "Meh" in supply. We have SAIL, but they suck, so don't bother.

Canatian Tire in Kemptville (25 minutes outside of Ottawa) has a dedicated Hunting/Fishing section. They had Aguila SV and HV last I checked, plus some CCI smatterings.

bucket of bullets is still over priced.... It stocks you up so well though... 80 for it... 1400 rounds.

Good thing my friend purchased it ! haha gota love it... Used maybe 100 rounds today.... Rest is in my possession hahahaa..

I haven't seen it cheaper than that in over a year. I won't complain at 6 cents a pop

Today only at Canadian Tire...BucketOBullets $99....buy $200(anything) and get $50 cash card back....That is $75/bucket!!! Best Price Ever....If I do say I have seen.

I watched a guy buy 8 buckets....4 trips...$200 in cash back, seems like a great way to stock up.

Lol thats not $50 off.
If you buy 2 its $200 + tax. Then another $100 minus the $50 gift card.
With only 5% tax which iirc it isnt there, it works out to $87.50 for just 5% tax in.
Id go with Fed 525 boxes that have fewer duds @ a lower cost.
$28.98 + tax @ Walmart. So under 6 cents

Artificial shortages from panic buyers, not unlike the guy i saw in Northern hardware yesterday, bought 14,000 rounds of federal blue box @ something like $40 a brick, non left to see the price. Quite the douche bag, one of those types that had to make it clear multiple times how much money he was spending and how it was just a drop in the bucket form his wallet :jerkit: lol. Poor little guy couldn't even carry it out by himself :( Must of been the fruity metro ###ual leather elf shoes he was wearing. Tons and tons of quantity and variety around my neck of the woods though, pricey though.
