Why use a BFG Vickers sling?

BFG made mash hooks apparently are discontinued for some reason and the metal-adjuster version was listed on a major US retailer site as no longer supplied.

We can get whatever we want from BFG :D We're the 3rd largest BFG distributor ;)

Now should I buy a padded or non-padded? Will not be carrying a restricted rifle so perhaps the padded might be an unnecessary encumbrance or would it just be a better choice?

If you're going to be carrying it for hours at a time, or it's heavier than 12lbs or so, then I'd suggest going with the padded, otherwise everyone finds the non padded to be great.

Also if you're going to be wearing armor, go non padded.
 
Darren, are you carrying elastic MASH hook covers at the moment? Didn't find any on your website. Choice of BFG sling attachments is also a little skimpy. Was looking for sling attachment for a fixed 870 rear sling plate and one to fit a fatty carbine handguard. Thx.

We stock all BFG sling attachments.

For the 870 the best bet would be the Ergo 870 sling plate. For the hand guard itself the short wire loop works for it.

Gang watch for the upcoming AK sling from BFG - it is killer !!! Even if you don't have an AK it is perfect for a variety of guns

Trust me you will dig it !!
 
Depends on the sling loops on the M1A.

Otherwise you'd need the buttstock and forearm adaptor to hook the sling into.
 
Will a BFG 3.25" universal wire loop fit on the front of a 590a1 shotgun? I am specifically thinking of the metal spacer connecting the magazine to the barrel.
