why were FNs prohibited ??

i remember i was 10 or 11 and my dad stand up and did a quick double tap to the head to a mouse with is FN. i was hook on hunting and FN's but i cant have one because i was too poor before i could get one

OK GUYS I was posting on a previous FN thread and me and another member started to go off topic there so here it is

Why was the FN prohibited ?

because they can be converted full auto easily ?

or

Because they are a EVIL military rifle and our firearms laws really don't make sense, as you can make all most anything full auto

or ......some other reason

Im back!!
Yes the other s**t disturber was me:D.
While I have reluctantly accepted that the real FN is gone forever, I still have a beef with not being allowed to have the fake FN, aka the DS Arms SA58 semi only receiver, US made, post-ban copy.
The BATF determined that the DSA rifle could not readily be converted to full auto and classified it as a semi sporting rifle (tried to find the article, will search more later).
Now if the RCMP would attempt the same with this rifle and achieve full auto success in their attempts, then I promise to STFU but until this is attempted......I say were being screwed!!
