I'll apologize first (cause I'm a Canadian) but I don't think we should portray our firearms as toys, which they clearly are not, especially in the context of video games.

what makes me laugh is imagining you seeing this Wii add and thinking "you know what would fit in there?...." haha very creative, glock on the brain for sure.

Because we are Canadian, most of our one handed firearms are toys. You can't carry them, you can't defend yourself with them, you can't hunt with them. What's left? Paper punching and games. Yes, i am well aware of the exceptions to these scenarios, but they are pretty rare compared to the reality. May as well have a Wii Glock (and what's the attraction of these Wii games anyway? My daughter sent me on a hunt for one for ages until I found one. Looks a Nintendo on steroids to me). - dan

Yup, I'm with Dan - I shoot paper, I'm not a cop or a soldier or a drug dealer or a gang banger, my guns cost me money they don't help me earn it. They mean alot to me, what they symbolize and the really great people I have met persuing the hobby, but it is a hobby. So in effect they are toys.

I get the point, but I think the guy meant CHILDREN'S TOYS... He has a valid point. Antigunnutz will use anything against us that they possibly can. Do you want to wake up to find this in your mailbox tommorrow?

GUN CULT PORTRAYS GLOCK AS CHILDREN'S TOY, SEE WHAT THE PARENTS OF VIRGINA TECH SHOOTING VICTIMS THINK

I won't be held responsible for the reprehensible immorality of the anti-gun, anti-responsibility individuals who claw their way out of the slime over the bodies of innocent dead people.

Yes I meant portrayed as children toys, Yes I realize that all restricted firearms are essentially paper puncher/plinking devices, although I do plan on applying for my wilderness ATC for my 629, if only as a form on protest. I'll be the first to admit I enjoyed playing "Hogan's Alley" back in the 80's (one of the first "First Person Shooter" games) but as the games became much more realistic I lost interest because I felt it wrong on a personal values level. If we end up admitting that recreational shooting is merely a hobby or a game how long do you think it will be before handguns are banned? (for the greater good). I don't mean to push my values on others, I just found the original post content to be in bad taste, no disrespect to mdbuckle, just some others my not share his sence of humor.

The anti's have already pushed us into this corner, where a gun (which is just a tool, but can be so many other things), ends up being simply a recreational device. Look at all the blathering in the papers whenever a letter mentioning selfdefence gets printed. Pushing the field back is going to be very difficult, to say the least. doesn't mean it's not worth doing though, think of the children! - dan

I think the joke was actually quite good, original thinking anyway. If you read a lot of the posts on this board, there seems to be an underlying sense of humor to go along with the information. This is a good thing. Even though the anti-gun camp may find it in bad taste, so what. I think the majority of the people on this forum will see it for what it is, funny. I realize that owning firearms is a serious responsibility, but we do have to have some harmeless fun once in a while. Kinda like shooting propane tanks and old car batteries at the outdoor range.

Relax dude! It's a JOKE in case you didn't get it...

I'll apologize first (cause I'm a Yukoner), I don't think that jokes should be distributed so quickly or in such great numbers, mainly because people might actually take them seriously and become completely devoid of any sense of humour whatsoever. I must apologize for my Yukon cousin as like many Yukoners up here, they seem to be suffering from a severe case of Political Correctness at the hands of the numerous Lefties and hippies invading our space with their propaganda and NewSpeak from down south.

This disease is highly contagious and is best dealt with severely using more comedy and utter ridicule, lest they ever think for one second that at any time in the future you might one day resort to becoming serious.

Cheers
