Quick update folks.
-Camping is permitted at the range. I tentatively plan on being there Friday evening to start setting up as long as the regular membership is not using the range. I will warn you that the range grounds haven't been completely graveled so if it rains it could be a *little* muddy. That being said there are some campgrounds close by.
Fickle lake is probably the closest. If you wish to camp on the range send me an email @
wrasalberta@gmail.com . If I have a large commitment I will try to be sure to be there a little earlier.
Some have asked about sight in, and as stated before we won't have time on Saturday. If I am there Friday we can shoot until 21:00, but my first priority is to set up the match for Saturday morning. If we can shoot and you are not a member you will have to pay the $20 guest fee to use the range, no exceptions and IOU's are not accepted.
I have also been asked for directions. Edson Fish and Game Range is a MEMBERS ONLY range, so they do not post a map to the range for public viewing. I will send a map out before the match. If you wish to be a spectator, send an email to
wrasalberta@gmail.com and I will supply you with a map.
Lastly, I won't be sending out a stage brief. This is a blind match, meaning you will get a stage brief from your squad leader before you shoot the stage. I will say that you are going to need dope out to 800M.
I and the WRAS executive are pretty excited for this match, and we all hope you guys are too. This is our trial run at a PRS style match, so be gentle, but we do welcome all criticism as long as it is constructive. In the future, if you have stage designs or suggestions please let us know. Thanks for all your patience.
We will see you on the range,
Adam
