Wildcats based on 303 Brit

I've heard Epps made some wildcats based on this case but haven't had much luck finding info....

My 1895 SRC seems to have a wore barrel and I am tempted to open it a smidge. Ideally it would go to 35 WCF to stay properly chambered but I don't have enough meat in this barrel and I think it would need magazine mods.

Of course another barrel would be an option but good luck finding that. One from an enfield is not an option ......

Thinking of going to 8mm or maybe 338 but that would be pushing it... iirc the muzzle is just under .600". The lands burnt out but I think the grooves are alright. Is it possible the bore

Suggestions welcome!:D
Ive got a p14 that someone bored the original barrel to 444 marlin. Maybe 375 win?

375-303 Westly Richard’s although technically not a wildcat really interests me . No slouch and there’s something really Canadian about woods walking with a Enfield. Not much more work to just make it a 45/70 though .

Yeeeowwzerzs…… sumbuddy watered the grass. 🤤
Jim... is going for a record it seems. 16.5 ish year-old thread!
Or... he has time machine?

On the topic... The 303 Brit has been necked up and down to every available bore size at one time or another... especially when a rimmed case is required, or desired.

375-303 is supposed to be a pretty good round, lots of brass( or at least used to be lots of brass) and good a choices of bullets!

Oh! Well then... back on track!
The 6mm-303 is just that, and the 6mm-303 Epps would be an improved case. Obvious differences would be the shoulder location and angle, as well as the case taper. Improved case will have the shoulder angle steeper and possibly moved forward slightly, and the case taper will be reduced or blown out slightly. Both should be easily seen when comparing the two.
The non improved would of course work in the improved chamber. You would not be able to chamber the improved round in a non-improved chamber.

What do you have?
