Will Marstar ever get those M1 Garands in?

Wasnt this the situation with Norenco and the M14 American tooling sold to chinese?
yet norenco m305 still cheap .

I don't recall the M14 tooling being sold to the Chinese. As far as I understood they are "copies", but I could be wrong about that.
Yup, the Norc M14 are inexpensive, and I think if Norinco was to make a copy of an M1 Garand, that would be relatively cheap too, but it would also be a purely "commercially made" firearm.
You have to compare apples to apples. I believe the question at hand is referring to surplus military M1s.
Whether a M1 Garand was made by any of the US Rifle manufacturers or whether it was made by Breda or Beretta, they are all authentic military issued M1 Garands.
Whether or not someone is willing to dish out a $800-$900 for a Springfield or Winchester over a Breda is more or less based on history and provenance of the rifle.

OK so Marstar has "chimed in" but I will not discuss our Garands until they are here in our warehouse....otherwise I will simply invite tons of evil e mail.

.

To this day, most things coming from China are copies with or without permission.

AND most of the designs are no longer under patent. Anybody can copy a 1911, or an M16, or an M14, or a Hi-power, because the patents are expired. Chinese mfg is smart enough to capitalize on this, instead of getting caught in the cycle of new design + new tooling costs.

Lemme tell you....

I am open to a purchase of a Garand however there are factors:

price
manufacturer
condition
Matching SNs
ect ect.......

John any idea when you will start a 'holding list' for people to reserve an M1?

Until John replied...I thought this thread was all wishful thinking....But Now...well...I've already checked out the Marstar website out several times...Hoping to see something about it.....I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!

Now you know why I avoid talking about new goodies before they arrive.
Please be patient, they are worth it....
Bu please lets avoid the usual questions;
what factory, are they new, what country, how are stored, how many in the crate, what accessories, what's the name of machine operator on the milling machine the day the receivers were finished, who packed the crates, are they American or knock offs made in Pakistan ???????????????????
DOZENS OF NEW TOYS OVER THE NEXT WEEKS, so lets concentrate on them
Regards John
