Hey, is there any chance of having a Norinco-made win 94 clone made chambered in 762x25? I would love one and judging by the large number of people asking for a 762x25 rifle, I imagine they would sell fast if it could be done.

i said why at first too. but then thinking about it the price of x25. a win 94 clone in it would be quite fun. youd have quite a mag cap. if the barrel could be stainless that would really amp up the fun

7.62x25 ammo is mostly corrosive, no? I'd hate to disassemble a Win.94 clone for cleaning on a regular basis. Stainless steel barrel or not, to prevent rust after shooting corrosive ammo the guts gotta get a cleaning to.

X25 is available from Norinco in Non-corrosive for $18 per 50 so that is not a problem. However, I would shoot corrosive and just spray the action
with WD-40 afterwards because there won't be as much residue coming back from the chamber of a non-semi-auto.

The advantage that I see with 7.62x25 over, say, 9mm is the higher velocity and lower BC for shooting out to 100m.

Buying a Rossi in .357 Magnum would likely get you better performance without the hassle of doing R&D on feeding rimless ammo through a tube-fed lever action.

I mean I love the idea and would buy one immediately if it worked (be awesome for plinking) but this ^ is a good point.

got NC for 14$ a box of 50 when on sale- I think they would be sweet, a nice flat shooting pistol cartridge, quite cheap, and think of the magazine possibilities?

winnies disassemble fairly easy, less cleaning than a sks

As said, not sure how a rimless cartridge would work.

not going to lie, did not realize all win 94's cartridges were rimmed, but that being said are their not savage 99's in 308 that are tube fed? so working around the rim shouldn't be a major issue

I could be wrong but the wiki article on the savage 99 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savage_Model_99 says it used a rotary mag. So while doable you would loose the potentially awesome mag capacity.

Hi Surplusshooter. If you don't mind me adding this,,, I would just like to say,,, any rifle in a 7.62 x 25 would be cool enough for me to buy a few, bolt, semi, pump,,, but I would buy a lever for sure. Thanks.
