Win 94 Forestock Removal

Once you have removed the three screws ( two on the bands that hold the magazine to the barrel and the one that pins the magazine to the barrel at the muzzle) you then take the mag and forestock as one piece off of the rifle. Once this is done you then separate the Mag tube from the forestock. *** when removing the tube mag from the rifle, observe the spring and follower ***

If I remember right, you need to remove the screw through the barrel band on the forestock, remove the screw from the band at the end of the barrel, slide out the mag tube(really, I'm not joking) until you can slide the stock off the mag. The rear barrel band will slide up to the front sight.
That's what I did when I refinished mine. If anyone knows an easier way, I'd like to hear it too!

Mine is a carbine and I had some real issues getting the forestock band screw back into the threaded portion... I was dangerously close to damaging the threads on the screw.
