Win, lose or draw. How was the panic buy before the freeze

Was thinking of selling my 1911 .45 before announcement of the bill, since I seldom shoot it, but Justin inspired me to keep it after all. Nice to have. Did buy one very high class Pardini .22LR target pistol, getting ready for Olympic try outs.
 
I was lucky enough to get all that I wanted except a Glock 34.
I bought a Beretta 92A1, Sig P226 Classic, Sig P226 Legion, Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0, Glock 22 Gen 5 Mos, Glock 17 Gen 4 and Sig P226 MK25. I was lucky enough also to pay normal before panic times pricing. I refused to be gouged and pay 5 times what a gun was worth regardless of how bad I wanted it. I’m very satisfied with the purchases I made.
 
Well, I did manage to get most of what I wanted in handguns. Did I win yes. Did I loose yes, the chance in future models of handguns. Did I have a draw yes, I got lucky before the panic buying as I had seen the writing on the wall months before the handgun ban being announced by this dysfunctional government of liars. The other key moment was the assault weapon's ban of May 2020 and still is pending of stealing my AR that I don't wish to sell but I'm being forced to sell my legally acquired rifle to this morally corrupt government. If they are forcing me to hand them this gun, then replace it with one about the same, then I'm not buying to replace it since because they are giving one back for taking one.
 
Sent my rpal upgrade application last april.. took them like almost 4 month to upgrade my pal to rpal. Got it on september..
So i had 3 weeks left to grab whatever i could find online with a very limited budget. My wife still has to answer the phone when they will call.. she can still fkp that up. :)

So 3 weeks ago i ordered a cheap jericho 9m , a cheap gsg 22lr for inexpensive plinking, and 22wmr revolver.. all ref 6033###
 
We did pretty good. 2x Chinese Toks, 2x GSG 1911’s, 2 Ruger Mk IV, 1 surplus Jericho, 1 Jericho 941F, 1 Colt Delta Elite First Edition Stainless and 1 Shadow 2 with blue grips.
 
Things I bought

5 polymer 80 lowers
A VZ61 scorpion (I know it's a rifle but I bought it anyway)
A Girsan MC28
A Ruger GP100
A Chiappa Rhino (in 9mm. I wish it was in 357 but beggars choosers. Etc)
A Bersa Thunder 380

Things I would have bought if I had more money
Some sort of 10mm. A Glock 20 or Delta Elite
A single action revolver of some sort. Almost bought a Wrangler but I have other bills to pay
A Desert Eagle in .50
A Smith and Wesson 500
A Inglis Hi-Power
A Sig 239

I'm sure there are others but those are the "ones that got away" off the top of my head.
 
Upgraded my pal to Rpal in September when word came down about the freeze. Fortunately I managed getting a glock 34, original old school colt python, beretta 92s and an impulse purchase on the Girsan mc9. I know there would have been more I was interested in but they just weren't available from dealers. I'm just happy that I got those four along with my Rpal all in September. Already been to the range and dont regret any of them. That python's trigger is absolutely phenomenal!
 
I did get most of what I wanted, including a 1911 45 (Sig STX) and three 22 LR (Norinco Olympia, Browning Medalist, Smith & Wesson Model 41). Also, I got a Bersa Thunder 380, and the one I wanted the most a Browning Hi Power. But if I had the finances I would of liked 1-2 revolvers, a Beretta 92X Performance, and perhaps a Desert Eagle. But I can't complain I guess. Well, my wallet can...

I feel pretty rounded out with what I own, and what I acquired. Ordered one long time want from irunguns right before they cut off imports, and picked up another I was looking for from a local guy a few weeks ago.

I never sold any, and was in shock and awe at some of the asking prices after the import ban in august.

Did I get everything I wanted? No, I wanted another G19 or PSA Dagger and I tried but the market was limited & prices were up.

Am I stuck with guns I was hoping to sell?

Maybe as I have not had a Ruger Wrangler show up to compare against the Rough Rider. Given time to compare I might have flipped some of them based on preference after trying them out. I had also intended to transfer more of the revolvers to my wife, not just the one Rough Rider I managed to transfer on the 20th because it's the ONLY one that's shown up with the ONTerrible CFO being so backlogged and awaiting transfer approvals.
 
I got the Colt 1911 i wanted the day after tru-dope announced his scheme, that added to my glock and Walther PDP an im good

Already had 2 and added another 3 since the freeze announcement. All my transfers have been approved and I received the last one thursday ( day before the freeze ). I am pretty happy.

I already own or have owned just about everything I've wanted to own but bought a Glock 48 in August just because Justin Trudeau doesn't want me to have it. The only downside is I probably won't see it until the spring but anything that pisses off Liberals is worth waiting for.
 
So how close did you get to completing your collection?

I'm myself missed it by one. Don't get me wrong I wish I had one of everything but I decided on a nice round number of ten handguns to keep and I got 9 of the 10. I just couldn't find a 1911 for a reasonable price that I wanted. A couple I'll mention that I got was a smith and wesson 4505 and 4566 and one I kinda picked up that I really didn't know too much about that is amazing is a bersa tpr9. Great gun I must say. Well hopefully this doesn't last long but can you really trust any of them at the end of the day. Well hope you got what you wanted and keep shooting while you can!
 
Got a number, my fair well peices, I got a sw500 and still waiting on russian nagant. Never enough though, my number was always n+1, and my +1 was stolen from me, sadly that was to be the wife's job.
