I recall (and I’m sure others do as well) seeing a post about this rifle on here quite a while ago. It was at Cabelas in Winnipeg in the Gun Library. It was being sold as having a benchrest stock and came with a Weaver K-8 scope. Well, I was in there over the weekend and decided to make an offer on the rifle that was a little (a lot) more realistic than they were asking. Needless to say we agreed on the price and it (the 52E) came home with me, along with the original factory stock that had gotten broken while at the store which is the reason for the different stock. It also came with the K-8 scope, and the original factory box. I tested a few different types of ammo in it today, and it definitely has a preference for 2 different lots of Tenex. I have a Weaver 5-20 scope on it now. I’m hoping to give it a much better test tomorrow and have it posted in the 1/2” challenge. Originally I thought I might have the original stock repaired, but now I’m thinking I just might have the current stock on it refinished so it is an even color.
