Winchester 94 big bore XTR 375win

Say what!?

That's like saying you got a ###y woman and you're not going to **** ***...

I agree, but I know a fellow who purchased a brand new Winchester Model 94 back in the 1970's because he always wanted one. That rifle is still brand new in the box and has never been fired.

One of these days I am gonna get me one of them. It will be a little sister to the 94AE I have in 444 marlin. Call it a mini gopher smacker!!

Let me know when his estate sale is.

I don't understand the mentality of owning a fine gun and leaving it in the box.

i think its because when you finally can afford your dream gun, your so worried about getting marks on it you just leave it in the safe i suppose.

I am like that too for a bit when I'm on "honeymoon" with a new firearm for a while, but eventually they all turn into shooters.

I do have rifles that I bought unfired and it sit in my safe for years and remain unfired. Sometime its like that lol
But this Winchester XTR fired a total of 18 rounds when I bought it, now 20 rounds total
open sights at 100yards on a 8'' steel plate, I hit the gong. its quite accurate.

I had one about 15 years ago , great rifle . I only managed to take a smallish white-tail with it using a hornady 220 grain bullet , if I remember correctly . The 375W cartridge definitely ups the 94's capability in regards to big game . I never used mine on moose , but I'm sure it would have worked well . Another rifle I should have kept .

^ Just thinking about it, I have a M1886 Win in the lightweight config', .45-70, and I have yet to fire it. Haha!

But it's not cuz I won't.

I need to hit the reloading bench!

Gunshows or buy brass and reload........... RE#7 is your friend .There is brass here in town at a local store but as I recall , pricey............Harold
