the rifle in the title comes in .450 Marlin...but I'd rather have the .45-70.
from reading, the .45-70 can be loaded to the same performance/ballistics as the .450 Marlin in modern lever actions. the .45-70 also has readily available brass and should ammo and gun be separated on a hunting trip, .45-70 would have a much better chance of having stock at the local shop.
is there anything like the W94 Trails End Take Down in .45-70?
