I'm looking for some feedback on a 1970 or 1971 Winchester 94 (.3030) that a coworker inherited. It was used a few times in the late 70's/early 80's around the farm and then put in the closet until now. It had a pretty clean bore but has a lot of wear on the receiver and stock (see pics below).
He hasn't decided if he wants to sell it, but if he does, what should I offer him that would be fair? I have no experience with these rifles and want to be reasonable.
Will it diminish the value if he strips and refinishes the wood?
Thanks
