Hey, i havnt used silvertips. but ive used partition golds an also the Accubond which i believe is the xp3?
they are very strong bullet an shoot great in my .270, the PG shot like #### so i threw em out.
ive taken Sambar hinds with them an bullets performed as expected... stayed together an punched hard.

I got two deer this past weekend (1 shot kills) with the xp3 (300wsm) 150gr and I retrieved the bullet on the doe. Did exactly as advertized so I'm happy. The doe was out about 200yrds and drop and never moved. The 8 point buck was only about 80 yrds and walked about 20 feet. As far as accuracy is concerned, I'm not 100% sold on them. I find out of my gun, as the barrel heats up, the groups get bigger, which is not a huge issue when hunting but at the club it's a little discouraging. At 100 yards, my groups were about 2.25 inches and at 200 it was close to 5.5". Decent for hunting, but again not what I expected out of a browning a-bolt. I was hoping better than that. I've got 3 boxs left but I think I will give the federal vital shoks - triple shok a try...
I've also heard form my dads friend that the ballistic silvertips group better than the XP3 jus don't have the stopping power the XP3 has,he shoots a .308 but they might be worth trying and see if that helps the grouping of your 300WSM
"...don't have the stopping power..." There's no such thing. No bullet will give you a 100% guarranteed one shot stop.
A Silvertip is just an SP with a thin Al cap. A BST has a polycarbonate point. Either one will do for deer/black bear/moose. An XP3 is made for deep penetration.

Well i didn't in any way say that any bullet would give you a 100% guarranteed one shot stop, and i didn't say that the ballistic silvertip wouldn't kill deer/black bear/moose but in a 180G .300 Win. Mag. (for example) XP3--> 2819 FPS & 3176 FT.LBS. @ 100Yards. and the Ballistic SilverTip--> 2764 FPS & 3054 FT.LBS @ 100 Yards, So more "Hitting Power", that being said if you can't shoot them accurately you are better off with something you can. . .

xp3 or accubond will do well both are BONDED ..the ballistic silvertip is not BONDED on heavy impact the lead will seperate ...my 300wsm with ballistic silvertips group better than the XP3 on the range 200yds. rifle resting on sand bags ...but for a hunting situation i use accubond 180 gr. ..
The XP3 don't group all that well but hit hard.
Remington and Federal group much tighter. Did a serch on google and read some of the reports, xp3 did not fair well in groupings.
I like the federal vital shok nossler partion, they group tight and hit hard as well.
